WT Online: Blackout Roller Shade
Instructor: Susan Woodcock
1-hour class on Thursday March 6 and Thursday, March 13, 2025, at 12:00 pm EDT
Blackout roller shades are a great alternative to roman shades. Installed on a spring, clutch or motorized tube, roller shades are easy to operate and can be customized with your own material.
In this two week online course you will learn how to make a blackout roller shade using lining and iron-on products from dofix No Sew, Inc. Iron-on products are clean, accurate and less messy than working with wet glues. You will be surpised at how efficient this method is!
This class includes:
- Roller shade project supply list and resources
- Two 1-hour online, interactive lessons with instructor Laurie Medford, presented live and recorded to review later (with 3-months of access online after class is completed).
- Written how-to instructions

This is a home study program. You will receive recordings and handout. No refunds provided.
I have taken two courses online. I always learn so much in the classes. It’s amazing the number of tips, techniques and resources shared with us in a short time. The weekly classes also gave me reasonable deadlines to sew and complete projects. You will not be disappointed if you enroll in a class!
