30 Minutes with Workroom Tech: Episode 97 / The 2025 Pick-A-Project Challenge

On this episode of The Sew Much More Podcast: 30 Minutes with Workroom Tech, Ceil DiGuglielmo and Susan Woodcock announce the 2025 Pick-A-Project Challenge! This is an opportunity for you to complete a personal project with a like-minded group of creatives. This is the third year of the Pick-A-Project challenge. Everyone who participates in the Pick-A-Project challenge is invited to join the Pick-A-Project Challenge private Facebook group to meet other participants, share project details, watch projects in-progress, supply-swap, and find help. There’s no limit to how many people can enter the challenge. Do you want to tackle a project with a friend? You can sign up as a team. Deadline to submit your project is April 1, 2025!

At the end of the challenge, you are encouraged to submit photos of your finished project and share what you learned, how satisfied you were with the finished project, and any helpful resources or inspiration that you used for your project. The deadline to finish your project is August 1, 2025. You have this summer to meet the challenge!

As part of the Pick-A-Project challenge, you agree to:

Share instructions and resources with others including the magazine, book, blog, video or pattern used. If you are making a project from a purchased class, share the resource but not the class materials unless you have permission from the instructor.
Encourage and help others in the group and have fun!

What is the incentive to join the challenge?

By joining the Pick-A-Project Challenge, you will be inspired and held accountable.

You will learn something new while networking and sharing with your peers.

At the end of the challenge, you will have a completed project!

There Are No Winners or Losers. This is not a competition, but Ceil and Susan will review the entries and recognize the following projects, just for fun:

2. Most challenging

3. It's ugly but I learned a lot

4. Project fail

5. Love it! Why didn't I try this sooner?

6. An oldie but a goodie

7. I would put that in my house
